Brief of Company Background
The company has sole rights for the sale, processing, and provision of after sales service for films, cameras and other photographic equipment made by and using the trademark of Fuji. The company also acts as a sole agent for 4 other companies. It has been a sole agent, since 1990, for film editing equipment and machinery made by Itotec Co. Ltd. of Japan, X-ray equipment made by Kosei Optomix Ltd., Japan, photo developing and printing chemicals made by Fuji Hunt, USA and image processor and colour enlarger products made by Fujimoto Photo Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan. In 1994 the company launched new films: Fujichrome Provia and Sensia, as well as Fujicolor NPS/60 profesional. In 1995 the company launched Fujicolor Super HGV and Fuji SFA 232 minilab. The company has also explored the possibilities for marketing the Fuji DS 505/515 (E2) SLR Digital Cameras, produced in cooperation between Fuji and Nikon. The company has four wholly owned subsidiaries, namely PT Honoris Industry, PT Modern Photo Industry, PT Modern Putra Indonesia and PT Modern Indolab, operating in the manufacturing, assembling, service and retailing of photographic products. The company has 15 branches throughout Indonesia. Thus the companies, together with the subsidiaries, form a complete upstream to downstream integrated enterprise, specializing in photographic products. At the moment all roll films are being imported from Japan.
