Brief of Company Background
The company started its commercial operations in 1976 with a manufacture of plastic house ware. The company expanded its business by producing aluminium kitchenware in 1980, then PVC pipe in 1987 and plastic woven bag in the following year. As the economic growth that result in the increasing purchasing power in 1996, the company started the expansion for manufacturing of non stick aluminium cookware which promoted high quality products. The company becomes a public company since 1994, and listed at Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange. Currently, the company has 8 hectares factory in Waru, Sidoarjo (Unit 1), and 5.5 hectares factory in Trosobo, Krian (Unit 2); both in East Java, also 4.9 hectares factory in Tanggerang (Unit 3), West Java. The company has offered creditors two schemes for debt restructuring, in which the debt will be amortized over six years and, subject to approval of the creditors, part of the debt will be converted into Zero Coupon Convertible Bonds for an effective period of six years. Other measures taken to finalize the debt restructuring process with several bank syndicates, accounting for Rp 400 billion in debts, include rescheduling and haircuts on interest and penalties.
