Brief of Company Background

PT Roda Vivatex Tbk. is one of the largest textile industry companies in Indonesia that produces polyester filament woven fabrics. Established in 1980 and began production in 1983. At the beginning of the company's establishment, polyester fabric production was still dominated by Korea and Japan so that domestic fabric needs were highly dependent on imported fabrics. Seeing this condition, made one of the reasons for Mr. Sutiadi widjaja, who has 12 years of experience in the textile chemical trade, to build a textile industry company that specializes in producing polyester fabrics.

The company grew rapidly because this type of fabric was in demand by people in various countries. The government also supported with deregulation in promoting non-oil and gas exports. The textile industry was able to penetrate the international market and even became one of the prima donnas of non-oil and gas exports. The Company is listed as one of the main exporters of polyester fabrics, fabrics that use polyester filament materials are Georgette, Satin and Palace.

The Company pays close attention to the development of product quality, as this is a demand to penetrate markets in various countries. Development of fabric manufacturing technology is carried out regularly and utilizes advanced machines from Japan. The combination of technology and advanced machinery produces quality products and it turns out that these products are in great demand by the European community. The existing production capacity is felt to be unable to accommodate the increasing demand for fabrics from abroad. to meet this demand the Company certainly requires large capital because the amount of production increases. As a way out, on May 14, 1990, the Company listed itself on the stock exchange as a Public Company. The machine tools purchased and provided were finally able to fulfill these needs. With the machine technology used such as waterjet looms, shuttle looms, rapier looms, flat screen printing, rotary screen printing and dyeing machines encourage the company to continue to provide quality fabric products.

Since June 2002, the company through its subsidiaries has diversified its business in the property sector by leasing an office building named Menara Bank Danamon. Along with the increasing demand for office space, by the end of 2007 the Company through its subsidiaries had completed the construction of another office building called Menara Standard Chartered.

In 2008 the Company restructured its business so that its subsidiaries were only engaged in the property business while the Company remained in the textile business. In 2014 the Company stopped doing business in the textile sector (Closing the Citeureup-Bogor Factory).

Currently, the Company's activities include investment in shares of subsidiaries engaged in leasing office space.
The Company and its subsidiaries own 4 (four) leased office buildings, namely: Menara Mandiri Inhealth, Menara RDTX Square, Menara PHE, and Menara RDTX Place.
