Brief of Company Background
Established in 1992, Chandra Asri Group, operates Indonesia's first and only naphtha cracker, producing key raw materials for industries such as olefins, polyolefins, styrene monomer, and butadiene. This critical role of supplying various important raw materials confirms Chandra Asri Group's status as a national vital object for various Indonesian industries.
Chandra Asri Group is part of the Barito Pacific Group which owns a majority stake in the Company. In 2011, Chandra Asri Group established a partnership with Siam Cement Group (SCG), which through its subsidiary SCG Chemicals, is currently one of the major shareholders in Chandra Asri Group. In 2021, the Company partnered with ThaiOil Public Company Limited (ThaiOil) as a strategic investor. This partnership strengthened Chandra Asri Group's role in the development of the industrial sector in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
In 2024, Chandra Asri Group embarked on a strategic transformation to become the leading Energy, Chemicals and Infrastructure solutions company in Southeast Asia. The initiative focused on several key objectives: diversifying our business portfolio to maximize benefits for all stakeholders; enhancing our reputation as a trusted growth partner, providing fundamental support to strategic sectors in Southeast Asia; creating new opportunities to serve more customers and stakeholders; meeting domestic needs; and cementing our position in the chemicals and infrastructure sectors.
This transformation further strengthens our position as a growth partner for Southeast Asia and makes us the strategic partner of choice for industry leaders such as Salim Group, EGCO Group, and Compagnie Financière du Groupe Michelin.
Today, Chandra Asri Group's transformation encompasses a diverse range of businesses that include manufacturing, trading of chemicals, petrochemicals, synthetic rubber as well as management of infrastructure assets such as docks, tank storage, logistics, water and energy.
