PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) plans to invest in and acquire startups with the potential to provide added value for the company.

"To create a healthy digital ecosystem, Telkom feels that it cannot move on its own," said Director of Digital Business Telkom Indonesia Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid in his statement on Wednesday (7/7).

According to Fajrin, the company has prepared three effective strategies to accelerate digital in Indonesia, namely build where Telkom will develop a system that has a significant role for acceleration. Then Telkom is also open to collaborating with various parties, ranging from startup companies or other government institutions, to develop joint systems; for example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has collaborated with the Ministry of Health and others.

"Telkom is also very open to invest or acquire and so on to startups or parties that can add value added to the company," he explained.
