Jakarta - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk recorded a profit for the period attributable to owners during the first semester of 2022 of Rp13.451 trillion, an increase of around 7.40% from the same period last year of Rp12.541 trillion.

The company's financial report released on Monday (8/1) showed profit growth was supported by high revenues of around 3.60% to Rp71.983 trillion from Rp69.480 trillion.

Telkom also achieved a 56.96% gain in foreign exchange gains, increasing to Rp124 billion from Rp79 billion.

The telecommunication company successfully managed the pace of several operating expenses; maintenance and telecommunication service expenses were stable at Rp17.847 trillion, marketing expenses were also stable at Rp1.696 trillion, and interconnection expenses were stable at Rp2.647 trillion.

However, depreciation and amortization expenses swelled by around 15.56% to Rp16.986 trillion from Rp14.698 trillion.

Operating profit was depressed by around 2.87% to Rp22.936 trillion from Rp23.615 trillion.

Until the first semester of 2022, Telkom's total assets reached Rp275.272 trillion, with liabilities of Rp134.593 trillion and equity of Rp140.679 trillion. Meanwhile, it recorded the position of cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period at Rp40.160 trillion.
