Telkom Eyes Business Growth of 34% in Papua

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) is increasing investment in the Papua region to accelerate the development of telecommunications infrastructure in line with the region's high market growth.

"From year to year in Papua, there is always an increase, including investment here. For this year, we are targeting that there is a 34% business growth in Papua, despite the Covid-19 pandemic conditions," said EVP Telkom Regional 7, Aris Dwi Tjahjanto in Jakarta Friday (19/3).

According to Aris, Telkom's investment portion in Papua is the largest compared to other regions in Indonesia.

"High growth in one location will also trigger high investment, including in Papua," he said.

Furthermore, in terms of connectivity and infrastructure, Telkom both independently and in collaboration with the government and other parties.

"Everyone must get the opportunity for digitalization in Indonesia. The way is we hold ourselves, cooperate with the government, and we are open to infrastructure developers who want to work together," said Aris.
