Siloam International Swings to Net Profit of Rp152 Billion in 2nd Quarter 2021


PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SILO), in the second quarter of 2021, posted a net profit of Rp152 billion, swinging from the same period last year with a net loss of Rp149 billion.

SILO President Director Darjoto Setyawan said the increase made the total profit for the current period attributable to owners of the parent entity during the first semester of 2021 rose to Rp291.53 billion, compared to a net loss for the same period last year of Rp130.04 billion.

"The increase in profit in the second quarter of 2021 was driven by a 78% increase in revenue to Rp1.90 trillion, compared to the previous period of Rp1.07 trillion," in his statement on Thursday (29/7).

Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also grew 487% to Rp478 billion, compared to the second quarter of 2020 of Rp82 billion.
