First Session, JCI Falls 0.61% to 6,856.94


Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), in the first trading session on Monday (1/30), fell 0.61% or 42.04 points to 6,856.94.

At the midday break, 229 stocks were strengthening, 284 stocks were weakening, and 193 stocks were unchanged. The total stock exchange transaction volume reached 10.67 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp5.08 trillion.

JCI weakened due to declines in nine sectoral indices. Only the health sector continued to gain 0.89%, and the non-primary consumer goods sector rose 0.12%.

Meanwhile, stocks among the LQ45 top gainers were PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) at 2.07%, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) at 1.79%, and PT Mitra Keluarga Karyahealth Tbk (MIKA) at 1.72%.

Meanwhile, stocks that fall into the LQ45 top losers category include PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) -4.20%, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) -3.05%, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) -2.88%.
