First Session, JCI Rises 0.24% to 6,104


Jakarta – The Jakarta Composite Index settled up 14.42 points (0.24 %) to 6,103.92 in the first trading session on Wednesday (25/8).

Two hundred fifty-two stocks gained, 227 stocks fell, and 164 were unchanged. The overall trading volume was 15.57 billion shares with a turnover of Rp6.99 trillion.

Seven sectoral indices improved, bolstering the JCI's increase. However, three other sectoral indicators were in the red zone.

The top LQ45 gainers were PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) (4.44 %), PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) (4.09 %), and PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF)  (2.32% ).

Meanwhile, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) (-3.11 %), PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) (-2.51%), and PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG)  (-1.93%) were some of the biggest losers in the  LQ45.
